LADIES DAY AT SLIGO RACES – 8TH AUGUST 2024

Get ready for a bonanza of style at Sligo Races on Thursday, 8th of August. Fashionista Marietta Doran will once again grace the enclosure as Judge on the day. Expect a fun-filled day where taste and elegance dominate the enclosure.

Marietta Doran expressed her enthusiasm: “I am absolutely thrilled and immensely honoured to judge at the unsurpassed fashion event that is ‘Sligo Races Best Dressed.’ It is one of my most favourite racecourses to visit, and I can’t wait to catch up with everyone.”

Kathryn Foley, Racecourse Manager, shared her excitement: “Ladies Day at Sligo is highly anticipated as outfits for the day are being planned and purchased. We expect a fresh look on the Racecourse with the fashion stakes getting higher every year.”

This year, the Winner of the Best Dressed Lady Competition will enjoy a €1,000 cash prize sponsored by Sligo Races, along with an amazing bespoke outfit by internationally renowned Irish fashion designer Roisin Linane, whose stunning creations have graced catwalks and been featured in Vogue Magazine (www.roisinlinnane.com). Additionally, all ten finalists will each receive a €100 gift voucher from Friday’s Edit, a leading fashion brand capturing the imagination of top fashionistas (www.fridaysedit.com). To top it all off, Sligo Races will provide a bottle of Prosecco for all the finalists.

It’s not just about the fantastic prizes up for grabs but also the coveted title of

“Sligo Races Best Dressed Winner 2024.”

Even if you don’t make it to the stage in our Marquee, we are determined to recognize your effort. If you receive a pink wristband, you are welcome to the Marquee to enjoy a glass with us.
